“It’s not enough for food to be healthy — it has to taste delicious, especially if you want your kids to eat it.” Pam Brook

Author

In 2018 the compelling idea for a book was sparked when Pam met paediatric allergist Dr Velencia Soutter. Velencia opened her eyes to the fear that families with food allergies live with every day. She inspired her to write a book, on raising healthy adventurous eaters and what families can do to help prevent the development of food allergies in their children.

Cook and Food Producer

Pam is co-founder of Brookfarm, a family food business based in Byron Bay, which she established with her husband, Martin in 1999. All their recipes began in Pam’s kitchen, and Pam still creates all the new products today. She is passionate about ‘real food made right’. She loves sharing and creating meals with family and friends.

Regenerative Farmer

Together with her husband, Martin, beginning in 1989, they have transformed a 96 acre rundown, weed-infested dairy farm into a spectacularly beautiful macadamia and native foods farm that follows regenerative farming practices. To date they have regenerated over 40 acres of rainforest. They are actively involved in Landcare and and regenerative farming groups.

Dental Surgeon

Born and raised in Melbourne, Pam has had many careers, working for over 25 years as a Dentist and a working mum, caring for children and families of all ages. As a dentist she saw first hand the difference that a balanced diet and good nutrition makes to children as they grow, and to family members of all ages.
